EST Gee Might Just Be Back
EST Gee has linked up again with his favorite producer, Forever Rolling, to put together a strong new album.
The project, titled My World, brings Gee back to his roots. It’s filled with pain, personal storytelling, and great beats. Throughout the album, he speaks on losing his eye, feeling forgotten by people around him, and the current reality in Louisville, Kentucky.
What’s surprising is how the album seemed to come out of nowhere.
A Nostalgic Tracklist
Right from the tracklist, Gee sets the tone. Each track is displayed like old MP3 files you might have downloaded from Napster, giving the whole project a raw mixtape feel.
Once you get into the songs, it’s clear he’s not just rapping about random topics. He’s speaking from personal experience, even including a voicemail skit with his ex. He opens up about battling depression, suicidal thoughts, and his constant run-ins with the opps.
Standout Moments
The album kicks off with “Geeski Ball New Intro,” where the line “Ima ball forever” is looped into the beat, setting the energy early.
On “Get Down V2 ext aug8,” Gee raps over two beats, warning, “get down cuz they shooting” and promising, “I will not let them walk me down with that choppa.”
Even with the swirling rumors between him and Gotti, they still come together for “PABLO FINAL GOTTI version.” Here, Gotti delivers more than just a throwaway verse, and both artists paint vivid pictures of what life can be like in the hood.
One of the most unexpected highlights is “GEESKI SHAKE July 13,” where Gee uses a laid-back, almost lazy flow on the chorus—and it works perfectly.
The Verdict
This album has no real misses. Every track feels intentional, and the emotion is evident. While Gee does experiment with some singing (which I personally didn’t care for in his past albums), most of the record stays true to his gritty, hard-hitting style.
My World isn’t just another “trap” album. It’s a statement. Gee clearly has something to say, and he’s making sure people hear it.
Overall, it’s a very solid release. It might not be his best work ever, but it’s a promising sign for his fans and a great introduction for new listeners.
