Where does KD go this summer?

If I told you one of the best all-around shooters of all time was 7 feet tall, 36 years old, and in his 17th NBA season, what would you say? Twenty years ago, nobody could’ve imagined someone shooting that well at that height—outside of Dirk. And nobody would’ve believed that two of the top five forwards in the league would be 36 and 40 years old. Yet, here we are.

We’re entering the twilight era of Steph, LeBron, and KD. But unlike the other two, KD hasn’t found long-term stability with a franchise. I could go on a full rant about why the Suns experiment was never going to work. They never built a cohesive roster around Book and KD. They never hired a coach who could design an offense around their skill sets. Then they traded for Beal—a smaller, less efficient version of Booker—who also has a no-trade clause. It was doomed from the start.

So now that the Phoenix chapter has closed, where does the D.C./PG County legend go next, especially with him reportedly on the trading block?

The Denver Nuggets would be a great place for KD. He would be beside one of the best big we’ve ever seen in Jokic. Jokic at point forward would make it easy for Durant to get easy buckets. He also would Have Jamal Murray who is money in the 4th.

The Rockets have a great coach and a plethora of young guys that are ready to be dogs. He’d also be playing with Baby Jokic and one of the best you athletes in the league in the Thompson Twin.

The spurs are my favorite destination for KD. Play with Fox who is statistically very clutch and is always getting downhill. Play with a potential future face of the league and Nike in Wemby. The Spurs need shooting and KD and maybe a signing or 2 can fulfill this.

veryone talks about the obvious destinations: New York or Miami. Personally, I don’t see it happening with either. The Timberwolves are an interesting option, but I don’t think they have the assets. My dark horse picks? The Indiana Pacers or the OKC Thunder—if either loses in the Finals. Both teams have the draft capital and/or young talent to make a serious play for Durant.

Imagine Shai and KD together—that’s a championship. KD and Halliburton? That’s basically the East Coast Warriors.

This offseason is about to get wild. NBA insiders are already saying we’re on track for a historic number of trades. So the big question is: Where do you think KD goes?
