As the year comes to a close there are a few more titles releasing in 2024 and this is Nobodyz Opinion of the ones worth watching.

Y2K – This is a disaster comedy movie set in the year 1999 on the eve of 2000. If y’all were born in the early 90s or later then we all remember the buzz surrounding Y2K. The end of all technology as we knew it. Of course nothing happened but it cause quite a stir among society. In this movie we get the ‘what-if’ scenario. Some friends crash a high school party in hopes of getting close to a girl. Once new years hits, all technology comes alive a turns against the world. Chaos and destruction ensues. This will be a good entertaining movie stars Jaeden Martell from the IT franchise and Julian Dennison from Dead Pool 2. Release date Dec 6.

Werewolves – In this world, humans carry a dormant gene of the werewolf. One full moon, the gene is awakened and all hell breaks loose. Fast forward a year, a super moon is coming and the world prepares for the impending danger. A man played by Frank Grillo, from the Purge franchise, prepares to protect his family at all costs. A good thriller to close out the year. Its been a while since we had a werewolf movie so this will be a fresh view. Release date Dec 6.

NIght Bitch – I have seen posters for this for some time now and with Amy Adams starring in it, I am intrigued. She is a stay at home mom and artists but struggling with a mundane life. She realizes some changes in her body like fur and sharp teeth. Turns out she can transform into a dog. With this new discovery she sets out to see what new experiences this will bring to her life. Also starring Scoot McNairy from Speak No Evil, which I still need to go see. Billed as a comedy horror, should be a good watch. Released Dec 6.

A Complete Unknown – This is a bio pic of Bob Dylan as a young teenager and his rise to fame. Timothee Chalamet stars as Bob and I think Timothee has been on the rise for some years now. Great actor and cant wait to see how he does in this role. Bob is a icon in folk music and music in general and not many people know of his contributions. I enjoy bio pics and appreciate the stories people have lived. Release date Dec 25.

Mufasa – The Lion King – This is a prequel to the beloved Lion King movie from 1994. This tells the orgin story of Mufasa and how he comes to know Scar and ultimately the king of pride rock. I was not a fan of the last movie that was done with real lions because the lack of emotion shown on the faces. I believe the masses had the same gripe. Even though this will be the same, I will still see it because I have to. I have seen all the the movies in the series and I am curious of the story. Seth Rogan makes a return in this as Pumbaa. Release date Dec 20

Nosferatu – This is a remake of the 1922 film of the same name. A woman goes on a business trip to Transylvania to meet with Count Orlock. There you have it. If you are not familiar, this is one of the first Dracula movies made and has been a legend in cinema. Willem Defoe and Bill Skarsgard team up in this horror classic. I have not seen the original but I as a fan of vamp flicks and with these two actors it becomes a must see. Release date Dec 25.

Sonic The Hedgehog 3 – This is the one I am most anticipating. My son and I love this franchise and it helps because I grew up on playing Sonic from Sega. Sonic, Tails and Knuckles think life is sweet after destroying Robotnik’s plans. Now the gloves are off and Shadows has been awakened to go against the trio all the while they try to protect the planet. Keanu Reeves joins the cast as the voice of Shadow so we can expects Shadow to be ruthless and chaotic to give us a good battle. Release date Dec 20.
